1. Iowa State - Pinnacle was OSU or that first bowl win vs Pittsburgh. Basketball... '99-2000. Only team I thought at ISU that had a legitimate chance to win a national title.

2. Royals - last November. I was 4 when they won the '85 WS no real memories. I do remember watching them lose damn near 1,000 games from 2000-2009. Been going to games since before I could walk... The last 2 years have been ******* awesome and literally something I never thought I would see. Hey there is hope for ISU!

3. Bears... Only excuse was that I was an impressionable child when the '85 Bears came around. I should have followed in my dad's Packer's footsteps... Make good life choices kids; listen to your parents.

Cyclones - pretty much only MBB and Football.

Not much interested in pro sports and I generally just either root for the underdog. Or a team that hasn't been there before and/or root against the teams/conferences that I don't like, which sort of changes over time.

Only sport I watch outside of my own team is college basketball, I'll have college football on as background noise Saturdays while I'm gaming.

Root for the colleges I attended, so Iowa State (undergrad) and Notre Dame (grad). And when they play each other, go Cyclones.

Cubs and Packers fan since I was a kid.

Don't really have an NBA team. Maybe become a Pacers fan. Kind of like that young Twolves team.

*Iowa State (duh).
*Cal, from when I lived there. Still like to watch Golden Bears football and basketball when I can.
*San Francisco Giants (again, duh). I've been a fan since 1989 and never thought I'd ever see a WS win, especially after the collapse in the 2002 series against Anaheim. I certainly never thought I would see a time where the Giants would win three titles in five seasons. There is no other place I'd rather see a game in person - love it, love it, love it.
*Oakland Athletics. I never went to see the A's play when I lived in the Bay Area, but have been multiple times over the last five years or so. Most people out there choose one or the other and I chose the Giants at the time. But living in Iowa, I can openly support both teams without getting a ton of crap from one fanbase or the other.
*San Francisco 49ers. Not a huge NFL fan, but I've always liked watching the 49ers, even when they suck.

Teams I have been a fan of in the past, but no longer follow closely for various reasons:
*Green Bay Packers. I was a Brett Favre fan, big time. Once he left, I didn't pay much attention to them (or any other team he signed with because I believed he should have just retired).
*Minnesota Twins. I'd call myself a bandwagon fan with the Twins. They were good when I liked them and when their seasons weren't turning out so well, I lost a lot of interest. I'll still watch sometimes, but don't go to their games like I used to.
*Houston Astros. I liked this team mostly for Craig Biggio. He was just a fun player to watch.
*Cleveland Indians. Believe it or not, I liked them mostly because of "Major League" and because my mom lived near there for several years.

ISU basketball - easily my most passionate following

Minnesota Twins - longest fandom by far. Dad was a huge baseball fan. World Series in 87 and 91 were awesome. My accounting teacher was a Braves fan which made '91 even sweeter.

ISU football - they sucked when I was in school (thanks Walden) so it was hard to get into it. I developed into much more of a fan after I graduated

Arsenal - newest fandom, but climbing the ranks quickly. I will attend a home match at some point.

Minnesota Vikings - Sundays of my youth were spent watching the Norsemen, drinking our one glass of pop that we were allotted, and eating popcorn that we grew. Good times. Nostalgia dictates that I will never stop being a Vikings fan.

See quite a bit of success from my teams although for the most part they have been dry in the title department for most of my adult years (execpt for Denver's win last year.)

Was a Twins fan growing up as Kirby Puckett was my favorite athlete as a young kid. I was 11 when they beat the Braves but still remember much of that World Series - still think it's one of the best WS ever. Once the Rockies came into existence I became a fan of them. That magical run in 2007 was the best time. That team was on such a hot streak as the playoffs approached and then into the playoffs. Then came a week long layoff and a matchup with the Red Sox who came right off coming from down 1-3 against the Indians. I really feel had Cleveland finish Boston off in 5 games we could have given Cleveland a run for that World Series.

1.Iowa State, especially men's basketball. We're the greatest basketball team EVAR.
2.Atlanta Braves - won a world series like 20 years ago and destroyed in the NL east for a while. Now not so much. But give it 2 more years and we will be back to relevancy.
3.I have a soft spot in my heart for the Royals.
4. Baseball in general. It's a great game and I wish ISU had a team.

ISU FB - ???OK St maybe
ISU Wrestling - '87 team NC, or Cael's 4th title
Houston Astros - '05 NLCS Champs
Tampa Bay Bucs - '03 Super Bowl

The lows have been WAY more prevalent than the highs with these teams.

Caught games in Baltimore and 6 and 7 of WS in KC 2 years ago, we won too soon LY to make 6 and 7. Sports highlights of my life. Oh yeah, OSU game was first ISU game since 91, awesome!

In rough chronological order:
MLB: Cubs
NFL: Steelers
NCAA: Cyclones
NHL: Penguins
NBA: Whoever Hoiberg played for until he retired. Now whoever Niang plays for.

Royals - Wining the World Series was awesome, but I think I had more fun in 2014. The wild card game was incredible.

Clones
Royals
Chiefs

I was at the wild card game. It was probably the best environment for a sporting event I will ever experience. The term electric gets thrown around a lot, but you really could feel something in the air that night. 30 years of futility buried in the past over the course of one night. I hope to be part of a similar moment for ISU football one day.

Cyclones-basketball has been fun at least
Bears - not so good
Twins - been a rough couple years
Redwings - I've seen a few Stanley Cups in my lifetime and they have a 25 year streak of making the playoffs, but they haven't been a serious cup-contender for a few years now
Bulls - Mainly because of Jordan; not a die-hard fan by any means, may start to root for the Pacers if Niang gets playing time

NCAAB: Kansas Jayhawks - 2 titles and a bunch of FFs in my lifetime
MLB: Kansas City Royals - 2 titles bookending a brutally painful era in my lifetime
NFL: KC Chiefs - some fun playoff seasons but no serious title contenders in my lifetime
NHL: Detroit Red Wings (where I moved after I left KC area in the mid 80s) - 4 titles since I started following them
NBA: no real fan of any one team, mostly whoever has a good former Jayhawk on it. Spurs titles with Vaughn, Celtics title with Pierce, Heat titles with Chalmers. Warriors title with Rush, Cavs title with Kaun. Cheering for Minnesota this year with former KU players Wiggins, Rush and Aldrich all playing there.

Iowa State-Sweet 16 run with Niang, Ejim, and Kane. Who knows what happens if Niang stays healthy

Green Bay- I was too young to remember the 90s super bowls but the 2011(?) super bowl was awesome

Liverpool- only been a fan for 5 years. They've played in two cup finals, losing both and finished runner up once in the league
