Pollard should resign. The failure is not on the field, the failure is at the top. The A.D. has taken incredible risks with a fragile football program going back to the firing of the winningest ISU football coach in history. If a sell out crowds watch a disastrous football season, coupled with the elimination of VEISHEA; the stadium expansion could be the final football blunder for the AD. Pollard should man up; move on and let someone else sort out his debacle.

If I'm the AD

I offer Wally a retirement package
I call up Chizik, say "Our fans hate you but you should be back in college football." Make the DB our d-coordinator and let him recruit.

Oh come on... Mac was killing the program more than he was helping it towards the end, he got out when he was supposed to. It was better for both ends.

Pollard has absolutely NOTHING to do with VEISHEA... come on.

Is this satire?

With the irrational thing the poster had going, I just felt like he left out an important part of incoherent rambling, most likely due to a mysterious cut in educational funding or something from Obama.

Keep going! We can push this to the cave if we up the effort!

This may be the dumbest comment I read this weekend and that is saying something.

I know. Just like I was wanting Wayne Morgan and be our defensive guru for Freddy. Stupid wants that would never happen but I'd love to see.

Why in gods name would you associate Wayne Morgan and coaching defense? The guy couldn't coach himself out of a paper bag.

Well, he was an assistant under Boheim for 12 years and was a big part in Syracuse becoming known as a defensive school...and while his offensive coaching was suspect, he did hold other teams to low scores...

hes a recruiter, that's it. He let the players run the teams here with no discipline.

and boheim is is the reason, if not all of it. Not Morgan.

Stupid idea is stupid.

So glad you helped me notice that.

It was something I was wanting back when Royce was here and our defense was ***. And then I think I mentioned it this offseason because I wasn't sure who would replace Doc.
