If you want to share the subscription, get the 4K plan as that also includes unlimited streams at your home plus 3 more away from your home (people you share it with). Then set that person up as a family member and they have their own login. Saves money and they haven’t locked it down yet like Netflix.

That is exactly what I do!! We have 3 kids so it works great!

Is that the base and still include ESPNU etc? Is Red Zone worth it?

I have no interest in whatever the other NFL package is that costs $300 or whatever.
I almost went with just the redzone package for the $10.99/month. Figure for the NFL season you'd pay about $55 bucks once you removed it.

Base Plan, no 4k. I had 4k but the content is low and I never run more than 4 screens in the house at one time.

In addition, I get $20 off for 3 months with my AMEX Gold

Looks like the Paramount/CBS Channels are going away for a bit. E-mail I just received:

"With YouTube TV, our goal is to offer you the content you love, delivered the way you want it. To make this happen, we enter into agreements with network partners to make their content available on YouTube TV. As such, we’ve been negotiating with Paramount to reach a fair agreement that allows us to keep their channels, including CBS, on YouTube TV without compromising the value of our service. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we’ve been unable to reach an agreement.

On February 13, 2025, all Paramount channels will likely become unavailable on YouTube TV. If this happens, this will impact previous Library recordings from these channels, Paramount content in the Entertainment Plus package, and add-on services like Paramount+ with SHOWTIME and BET+. Should Paramount content become unavailable, we will continue to update our Help Center with the latest.

We know how frustrating and disruptive it is to lose channels you enjoy on YouTube TV, and we’re committed to providing you with the best possible entertainment experience. That’s why we’ll continue advocating on your behalf to offer you more flexibility in how you watch your favorite sports and shows while preserving the value of our service. It’s our goal to restore Paramount content to YouTube TV, but if we do not come to an agreement and their content is unavailable for an extended period of time, we'll offer our YouTube TV subscribers an $8 credit. You can still watch Paramount shows and movies by signing up for their streaming service, Paramount+, starting at $7.99/month. For more information on how we’re addressing our Paramount+, BET+, and Entertainment Plus subscribers, please visit our Help Center.

We hope YouTube TV continues to be your service of choice, but we understand some of our members may want to cancel their subscriptions. As always, family managers have the ability to pause or cancel anytime. You can find more information in our Help Center.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work towards a fair agreement with Paramount. As always, we sincerely appreciate your YouTube TV membership."

Yeah this is real bad for March Madness purposes. Yikes.
So those of us with YouTube TV that are losing CBS etc what other options do we have to get CBS? Can we just get only CBS by itself for a monthly cost or do we have to buy it in a bundle or is it already in some other bundle like Hulu? I’m don’t follow this stuff much.

Can use an OTA antenna or do you have a separate Paramount Plus subscription? Believe you can get CBS on that app.

yeah, only thing that will suck is losing multiview, which has become so good for march madness. But I can go back to having a couple tvs going.

So you’ll be able to get 3 of the 4 channels of games, just not CBS? With the number of commercials and staggered starts, there’s rarely 4 games going at once. So maybe it’s worth trying out Hulu for a month.

The tournament is primarily Turner networks so not majorly affected by Paramount's ****-weasling here. Worst case you'll have to get rabbit-ears out to watch CBS games.

Or sign up for Hulu Live for a month

Bad and stupid if they don't fix it by then.

I think Paramnout+ can just be added and I'd guess that's in their works but that's terrible service.

It gets back to the frustration of switching apps to switch between games. Getting the channels isn’t a problem. Switching between them is.

Although, I’ll need to check whether there will be a March madness app again this year that I can get all the games in that app and just sign in with my subscription info. That would solve a lot of concerns.
