Don't get me wrong, it's easier and less expensive to use Hulu or YTTV right now, but prices have been creeping up since inception. Hulu just shot up $10/month in December. It's about $65 a month now for live TV. As we all know, sports drives the whole market and companies are starting to figure out how to continuously raise rates and pull programming.

There's always PhIlo if you don't care for sports. Their ESPN-less lineup is only $20 / month.

Way up there
The biggest impact this will have is on MLB, I only signed up for yttv last year to watch the cards games. MLB basically sucks as far as their TV coverage though, I'm just fortunate to be a Cards fan that lives where I can get FSMW, if not, I wouldn't be able to watch the games. Direct tv still carries these channels, I believe hulu live does as well but if they keep losing big names, it may push baseball to get their **** together.

I love baseball but I realize its not nearly as big a deal to the casual sports fan as it was even 20 years ago, they need to wake up to that fact and make games more accessible to out of market fans. Streaming is the perfect way to do that, they should be trying to play really nice with those companies.

The NFL needs to get a streaming service for each team. The only reason I hang onto Directv is Sunday Ticket which I've been given for "free" the last two years. I'm dumping Directv after bball season and see if they give me two more years of Sunday Ticket this fall.

Updated...new deal...no Cubs network or YES...deal is through the fall but seems like both sides are not thrilled.

Good. No additional baseball network that I won't watch and get to keep regional Fox Sports. Guess we'll see the fight again at the end of 2020 baseball season.

will keep the 19 RSNs on YouTube TV through the end of the 2020 Major League Baseball season

It is interesting that 2 of the channels (Cubs and YES) YouTube TV is leaving out are primarily big-market baseball channels...guess YTTV is going to see how they do without them for at least one baseball season!

Here is the Chicago Tribune's view:

YTTV may have enough data from the YES network to support their decision?

Yeah...makes sense that they would! I am not a Cubs fan so this decision doesn't bother me a bit but I would be disappointed if they left off my team. I really enjoy YTTV...been a consumer of it for 2+ years now. I was a bit nervous when they first announced they would drop all the FSNs as I do enjoy watching sports more than any other form of entertainment on TV.

I am in the Cedar Rapids market...and oddly enough I don't have the FSNs in my lineup anymore? I haven't received anything from YTTV yet but something changed...and not for the better! Hope they are restored or I will be very disappointed!

Gone in WDM, but not care less, since nascar, NCIS, and wrestling are not on those stations.

I got the service notice this morning saying I lost out on the regionals? Wonder how that decision was made? Is it due to the Marquee Network being in this region so it was all or nothing for Iowans? I still get the White Sox games (been a fan for a long long time) so that is good with me...but it would blow to be a Twins, Royals or Cards fan this summer if you prefer to use YTTV! And my boys will miss out on some NBA games due to losing FSN North. Disappointing!
