A smothering defense with no arm tackling
A-Rob with 200 yards
3 40 + yard WR receptions
A mobile, confident and dangerous Arnaud

A win in any shape/form/or fashion will satisfy me. NIU is not to be underestimated.

On the first offensive series, I would love to see a sustained 80 yard drive by gashing through the interior of the Huskie D and dominating the trenches. That would spell good things for the rest of the season.

Defensively, we are all hoping Knott and Klein play like seasoned vets. More reasonably I hope they fill their gaps, play smart, and show promise of developing into great defenders as the season wears on.

1. DL disrupting interior runs (at least occasionally), forcing the RB to bounce it outside
2. LBs show good closing speed on the corners and get some stops behind the line of scrimmage.
3. At least 1 sack, please.
4. Multiple 3 and outs on defense
5. Long drives and at least one quick score on offense.
6. Arnaud - No passes to the flat thrown in the ground (Seems like this happened way to often last year), and good decision making.

execution on offense. Please don't go 3 and out on the opening series. 9 month offseason and we can't come up with a play to get a first down? Ugh.

I'd say

1) Win
2) 200+ yards rushing
3) No INTs or fumbles
4) Hold NIU to 17 or under
5) Shontrelle, Knott, Klein, Money contributing in a win.

It is goign to be sloppy on both sides. First game always is. I will take a win, don't care by how much or how.

David Sims tripping and preventing an 80 yard TD run on the 5 yd sideline, as time expires: The NCAA granting ISU ruling in both the NIU-ISU play in question AND R. White getting a favorable ruling for the upcoming season.

That, and a final outcome of 56-3, after the NCAA ruling.

That is what I was thinking. Win the game, but I would like to see no more than 3 3 and outs for the game, and I would love to see none from jumping offsides or taking a huge loss.

A) a win
B) an *** kicking - leave no doubt about it and crush 'em
C) 400+ yards of offense
D) D gets at least 3 turnovers
E) another *** kicking - the one in B) was for the first half
