To help along the discussion of money and results in football.

Good breakdown on cost per win, etc. Looks like Iowa was about #30-40 in cost per wins last year. They won 8 games last year, which is Iowa’s average year over the last 15 years (124 wins/8.24 wins per year).

I’m good with paying for paying about #30-40 nationally to have a top 25 program over the last 15 years.

If you ever want to get the kind of consistency that Iowa has had winning over a 15 year span, you are gonna have to pony up to keep good coaches if you ever get them.

16 in the last 35 years. Crazy good.

I do see ISU has 1 top 25 finish in the last 35 years, so you got that going for ya.

That was prior to the standard being raised. You guys have one more top 25 finish than we do in the last 7 years and your coach has a top 10 salary lol

Well, ISU is historically one of the worst P5 football programs in the country. I don't understand why this stat should come as any surprise.

You'd better hope the standard is raised a bunch, because just a little isn't gonna do much.

I gotta say it is tough being honest with ya on basketball stuff when you are so crazy disengenous on football stuff. If you wouldn't give your left nut for Iowas football program over the last 15 years, then you are flat out lying or just don't care about football.

That was before the storms started brewing and before the standard was raised but yes both in state teams have been bad lately

Good thing the storm won't be brewing until conference season starts since the nonconference means a lot less to MC.

It doesn't surprise me, at all. I just think it's funny he is talking **** about Iowa football while being a homer for Clone football. Actually, now that I think about it, I think he cares more about the Big 12 Conference than he does his Clones.
