I like the job Brent has done, maybe they aren’t publicly announced, idk. But the amount of big corporate sponsors the Swarm gets compared to what we have is a bit concerning.
I think their hands are partially tied due to trying to adhere to the spirit of NIL, and if that means that we operate at a disadvantage to those who don't, so be it IMO

That's "stiff your contractors" kinda money.

I'll never forget when I did a project for the U of I hospital back when they were just about to finish the childrens hospital. I was told by a contractor that U of I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to quickly make it look like it was finished on the interior to show it off for an open house. Then they took it all out and put in what was actually spec'd.

Working for U of I is a cash in advance proposition.

Kim Jong Un or the Saudis. Leave no stone unturned.
lol, I agree.

Saudis need to be a factor. I ruled out the cartels due to them randomly killing people after sporting events not turning out like they wanted.

I think it would be funny if some Saudi Prince said here is 3 Billion for Iowa State Sports.
1 Billion in facility upgrades and two billion to buy every damn player there is.

Put the 2B in a trust and you have an easy 100MM every year. That would get you an extremely high end team.

Isn't that what NIL is supposed to be?
It is what it is supposed to be, but that isn't what Swarm does. I donate a monthly fee to Swarm and no athlete's advertise for anything on my behalf. It sucks, but this is the way it is for now.

Iowa has been very effective building a corporate partner profile since the early Hayden Fry years. It's one of things that ISU football wasn't good enough to help generate at the time those deals were beginning to blow up. I think they could do it now, but it is a highly competitive market for fewer of those kinds of dollars now.

We have support from some great companies and large donors. They just don’t need the limelight.
Anyone who has ever received a community improvement grant from one of Iowa's casinos know how important good publicity is for them and how they will demand it as part of the deal. If you ever take their money, be prepared to tell the world how amazing they are!

I used to donate to the AD, but now I have transferred that money to NIL. I figure and hope that the AD will be getting plenty of TV money from now on and should be able to operate on that. So now I donate all my money that I used to donate to the AD to the Swarm. I encourage every one I know to do the same. Seems like a better ROI at this point in the game.

Wish more of our fans thought this way. It’s what I did too

That won’t work if you are a season ticket holder
