I used to donate to the AD, but now I have transferred that money to NIL. I figure and hope that the AD will be getting plenty of TV money from now on and should be able to operate on that. So now I donate all my money that I used to donate to the AD to the Swarm. I encourage every one I know to do the same. Seems like a better ROI at this point in the game.
Wish more of our fans thought this way. It’s what I did too

That won’t work if you are a season ticket holder

That's exactly what I've done as well. Any school that wants to be relevant has to go that way.

The system is broken but you've got to play the game.

I'm not since I live out of state, but for those that are then yes they have to donate for their seat. I'm also hoping Beth will steer that money towards NIL as well.

You realize expensive aren’t going to drop? If you and many other fans pull donations that will have a bit of an impact

Only so much money to go around no matter how you slice it. I feel most players would rather have cash than having an Xbox in their locker. So thus I also feel that NIL would bring a better W/L return of investment than giving it to the AD's office.

It always feels like ISU takes the moral high ground. No casino money, no beer sales in JT, etc.

College sports has been/is so dirty that you have to play the game or you struggle to compete.

On side note, why is all the surrounding Big10 colleges have Hy-Vee as a sponsor(Wisky, Iowa and Nebraska), but ISU doesn't when they are in our backyard? They might be a sponsor of ISU, but not as visible sponsor like those other three schools.

Good question.

I agree it’s a bit ridiculous some of the facilities teams are building, literally better than nfl teams in some cases. But other teams need attention too. Carver needs an uplift

Expenses will drop. Schools wont spend as much on facility upgrades, and that's fine. They were basically finding excuses to build new stuff before. How many stadiums the last 10 years underwent major renovations just to downsize the seating capacity and spruce things up a bit? Schools had to spend the money, so they kept finding projects to spend it on that weren't really necessary. It's why P5 programs generally have better facilities than NFL teams. All the money was being put into facilities. In the NFL, most of it has to be spent on players, etc...

Carver is fine. Just needs a better men's product on the floor. It does great for Women's basketball and wrestling.

The Interim AD would disagree with you. She just approved a feasibiity study.

Not saying things could be improved by any means, but just saying that Carver does just fine for other sports.

Let’s not pretend Iowa womens is selling out again next year. The configuration is just bad
