Awful stuff… but it’s driver error. It happens. That’s essentially what happened with the Toyota that drove off a cliff. Guy was freaking out and was pressing the gas pedal instead of the brake.
Well if I had not just committed to matching donations to WeWill...For those of you with a $100k burning a hole in your pocket right now...
I just read that this morning. For those of you with a $100k burning a hole in your pocket right now...
Stellantis already has quite a bit of production from the Chrysler side of things, its why many Chrysler products are being heavily discounted over the last 6 weeks. Being that Chrysler/Stellantis is behind when it comes to EV, it would not surprise me at all
based on current inventory levels and what they are doing with pricing/incentives, you are 100% correctGM, Ford and Chrysler have their hands full trying to balance ICE and existing EV investment. If they could get Rivian on the cheap, maybe Stellantis is a buyer. But based on inventory levels (dead cash flow) of CDJR vehicles sitting on dealership lots, Stellantis might be more focused on moving metal before taking on a acquisition.
Rivian nailed it with their recent R2, R3, and R3X launch. They will sell a bajillion of them. Just need to execute to get there.
$30k-$60K is a huge market. The market for cars that expensive isn’t huge.
If they can come in under comparable Tesla prices, it's doable, but pretty much every other make has struggled mightily to do so. Average new car cost (all types, not just EVs) is over fifty grand these days, it's certainly not unheardof. The market for cars that expensive isn’t huge.
Do we really believe that any of them will be sold for $30k?$30k-$60K is a huge market.
My mistake, they said between $35k-$40k. This is what I would expect for a vehicle that is a class below the Tesla Model 3, which can be purchased for $39k before any tax incentives. Over the next few years, it's going to become cheaper to build an EV than an ICE vehicle.Do we really believe that any of them will be sold for $30k?

I think pre-covid the average new car was right at $48k. That window is a huge market. What are you talking about?
$30-$60k is the largest market.
Do not compare Tesla, or Elon to anything Rivian.I remember when the Cybertruck was supposed to be $39k too, I'm no expert but it'll be impressive if they sell one of those for $35k in 4 years or whatever.
