I'll hop on the sidebar convo here and agree. I've seen the dissolution of the intern/coop program greatly contribute killing off one company I worked for, and I am beginning to witness it on another one... IMO hands down the best talent recruitment method available. And it costs peanuts. -

They are true, at least from my multiple friends' experiences, plus what the plumber told me. No, not what the marketing material says, but actual real, live experiences. Even those marketing materials talk about the need for descaling maintenance. Look, they certainly have selling points... -

I have a wife and 2 daughters, and we don't have the issue with our 40 gallon tank heater. I've taken showers while the washer has ran too, and only thing I missed was some water pressure. Tankless will do nothing for pressure. Just because I have friends that have had bad experiences, doesn't... -

And requires more maintenance, generally never lives long enough to realize the return on investment of initial cost, etc. They are not for me, I've known too many people who had bad experiences with them. If I ever have a need for 'endless' hot water I'll get a fast recovery/commercial tank unit. -

There are some key differences at this point with EVs, namely all of that stuff was more or less market driven, not mandate driven. At some point in time (assuming EVs trend continues) charging ports will be common in parking spaces. But we’re not there yet. Funny story about the oil vs gas... -

Yes new construction the costs would be significantly lower. Retrofitting/remodeling on the other hand can be a whole can of worms when it comes to electrical service. (I am a 'former' electrician). The cost of the components isn't all that significant, but the labor and all the activities... -

The practical challenge of requiring properties to have charging stations is it would drive up the cost of the housing. I would dare say significantly increase by the time you calculated in all the infrastructure it would require to execute a mandate. I would conservatively(!) spitball $5-10K... -
