Half way through the conference season, let's look ahead.
To start with, protect Hilton tomorrow for a sweep of TCU.
Then, I would love to see Cincinnati knock off Houston tomorrow. Keep UH from gaining on the pack.
Take the edge off Cincinnati desperation for a big win, probably moving them...
Worked today, recorded the game. I thought. Imagine the frustration when I go to tivo recordings, select Big 12 Tournament, it says ISU-Baylor, but what I get is ACC GAME!
Anybody else?
... was pretty entertaining tonight. Drake now in a 4-way tie for 1st in the MVC. UNI in a 4-way tie for 2nd, one game back. 8 teams within one game of the conference lead. That's kind of cool.
Assuming a win over Omaha, I think following with a 3-1 start to the conference is attainable. Baylor in Hilton will be tough, obviously, but not impossible. At OU, IMO, is one of the handful of realistically winnable conference road games. TCU on the road is the one I expect to lose. Then...
Win 1 of next 4 (@ OU, @ KU, vs UT, @TT) leaves the record at 14-4, 2-4. Followed by 3 very winnable games (vs TCU, @ OSU, vs MIZ), now 17-4, 4-4 leading up to a home game vs Kansas.
I would take that!
After an abysmal 2020-2021, despite returning 100% of points and rebounds, and with AJ Green (and Kimmons) back from injury/personal absence, the Panthers are struggling, at best. Down 32-25 to Jackson St. at half. Is Jacobson's time coming to an end?
Worst start since 3 years before Adolph Rupp!

A receiver faling backward, which brings his head lower, gets hit with a shoulder by DB who doesn't launch or use the helmet.
Two of the most egregious facemask penalties. One on Purdy, completely turning his head 180 degrees. The other on Hall (?), ripping his helmet off. In neither case did...
Starting Sunday with SH, through Jan. 29 vs BU, seems brutal. Could see 5-7 in that stretch. These next 2 games will set a tone. 2-0 changes everything.
I know it's not nearly as important as any conference game, and I am not fond of the timing, but I'm curious about the SEC challenge game at Ole Miss. They're currently 11-2, although what looks like a somewhat weak schedule, on the road (where they're undefeated so far), sandwiched between @...
OK, I've been reading as a guest for years. Many years. Finally joined, but still just a reader. I've been watching Cyclone basketball (and football) since early 70s. What makes me submit my 1st post? I am soooo pissed off by watching this laughable exhibition of basketball officiating I just...
