I wonder how the dude behind the UNI bench that flipped off the student section after the first Born buzzer beater is feeling.
And it was no ordinary give ‘em the bird either he spun it around a couple times for dramatic expression.

Very entertaining game. I caught almost all of it. Suprised to hear Devries is second all time winner at Drake already?
The announcers seem to think Prohm is doing really well at Murray all things considered. He got a shout out from them.

It was a great crowd tonight, panther hoks were outnumbered in the crowd. Born was unstoppable when it counted.

The women’s game between the two was bonkers as well. UNI won on a buzzer beater. Grateful for ESPN+ because I would have never watched it otherwise.

Someone on the Drake board mentioned rumors are starting to swill that Born might go looking for greener pastures. That would be an interesting thread to follow.

He had two circus threes to get it to OT and 2nd OT. He's going to be first team all Valley and shoots 40% from three. I know I'm going to take flack for this but he'd be a great shooter off the bench for us next year. Also be perfect roster wise filling in one year till Indrusaitis arrives.

Really need a starting center but another shooter is definitely our second need.

Ugh. Bowen can definitely shoot it. I hope he stays at UNI.

UNI has a lot of young talent if they can keep them they should have a good future. Problem is UNI don’t use the transfer portal like Iowa. So they basically become a feeder team without getting anything in return. If they keep Born, they have a shot next year.

He's really small and his effort comes and goes defensively. Really cant see TJ wanting him. He would be thrown into pick and rolls over and over in the B12. I think he's at the correct level and on a team without much talent around him so can shoot as much as he wants.

UNI has the 2nd or 3rd best recruiting class in school history coming next year along with getting Heise and Phyfe back. Even if Born would transfer (which would be a surprise with the NIL money he's getting and the player that he is at this level), UNI should be really good next year. I'll also point out UNI has had two total transfers in the last 8 years and they were both family situations more than basketball situtations.

PG RJ Taylor-3 time 1st Team All State in Michigan and likely Mr Basketball
PF Wes Rubin- 1st Team Chicago Public League at Simeon
SF Kyle Pock- 2 time 1st Team All State in Missouri and best player outside of KC/St Louis

Jake is set up for another pretty good 3 or 4 year run here.

Minnesota REALLY messed up hiring the wrong Ben.. I imagine Coach Jake would have retained Green and his deep connections to the twin cities.. They wouldn't be the laughing stock of the B1G.

A seriously want to know how a coach like him is still at UNI?
