    We beat the hawks…

    The problems that the University of Iowa wrestling program has took decades to develop and will not be fixed any time soon. I am so glad that during Dressers hiring that ISU looked outside its own wrestler/coaching family tree. If you don’t progress- you end up with Hawk problems.

    The guys David beat in the semifinals and finals are Askren Academy wrestlers. Ben Askren was selected to present awards at 165 pound weight class because of this. Just awesome that David out wrestled them both.

    AA Prediction time

    5 AAs I hope Feldkamp is recovered somewhat from Big 12's and I would never count him out of the AA finishes. Wish we could have had him for another year- seems like a great guy. When Yonger wins this bracket seeded as #2 he will have won a much tougher bracket than history will ever give...

    What took so long in swiderski match “injury” and why wasn’t Williams called for locked hands prior to collarbone injury stoppage? Williams had the takedown at that point.

    If a wrestler is competing unattached (like Paniro)- why can't the wrestler request a video review himself? Seems like a LOT of gray area surrounding challenges and video review in the rulebook.

    I went back and watched this match- Brands comments to the referee at the end of regulation absolutely lost Rhodes this match.

    Solely looking at websites of Soldier Salute/Midlands/Southern Scuffle, ISU is only listed as a team attending the Soldier Salute this weekend/new year holiday. I haven't seen anything stating that starters are attending any events during this time frame. Anyone know any differently?

    Cyclonefanatic wrestling gear

    Any chance of new wrestling gear being posted to the store? Back to school is coming for the kids and I would like more options than the Paniro Johnson NIL signature tee. Or is there another good option for cyclone wrestling gear elsewhere?

    Dual win for Nate Gallick over Cliff Moore (IA). Moore went on to win NCAAs that year but the loss thwarted a perfect season run for Moore.
