Took the first two, but looked on the verge of collapse in the next two. Got it together enough to win the last game 16-14. Gave the young kittens some confidence for tomorrow though. Did better than Baylor did at KU though.

That was quite the win for ISU after playing poorly in the 3rd and 4th sets. CJL only played 8 throughout the whole match. Brandt starting over Mauck was a mild surprise. CJL mentioned earlier this week that Anderson had really improved and that was very evident tonight as she was perhaps the best ISU player tonight. Brandt struggled at times with sets to the OHs, she never did get synched up with Hatch. Will be interesting to see if Mauck and Schuler play in tomorrow's match after neither played tonight.

Unusual lineup choices tonight, as mentioned only 8 played, and #2 sparingly.
Guess we'll find out tomorrow if CJL is playing the long game, knowing she has matches on consecutive nights. I expected to see more subs.

Yeah, Holthaus, Hatch and Anderson all played full front and back row rotations. The DS (Baranski) was only used to sub for the MBs when Cande wasn't serving.

IIRC, she was not heavily pursued by ISU and, if so, CJL is going to regret it. She has got major hops to more than make up for her 5-9 height.
You just explained it. Ddid not realize she was only 5-9. Cretainly didn't play like it. Could see last night's loss in the making Friday night. Fritz put together very nice recruiting classes the last two years. None of our freshman saw the court this weekend. Still wonder what's up with Schuler.

Read elsewhere that Schuler may have ankle issues and was unable to play at KSU.
