I’m curious what the reasoning is behind offensive efficiency increasing nationwide this late in the season?
My gut is most teams get better offensively as guys gel and things slow down. Not uncommon.

While watching one of the late games last night they did their Lunardi clip about seeding and a question out of the blue was raised that if Iowa State won the big 12 tourney and tied for the regular season championship would they deserve a one seed? Joe answered without hesitation and almost arrogantly (paraphrasing) "NO! You can't have a team with a non-con in the 300's be a one seed
I don't think that's wrong.

If we get bounced early it’s likely because of our ineffectiveness in the half court, which has been a weakness since TJ got here. It is what it is, it’s hard to do everything well. To get to a final four however, I do think we will eventually have to get better offensively in the half court. I don’t think we are there yet.

Agreeing with you, but it is improving. Imo.
He's established his culture and is expanding what it needs. We have the most offensive weapons this yr than we have in the 2 previous seasons.

Still a great Big 12 season despite losing the last game like that. Didn't surprise me to be honest. K-State isn't a bad team, they have a chance to sneak into the tournament if they go on a little run, and the Octagon of Doom isn't an easy place to play that's historically not been good to the Cyclones.

"beat the pants off our preseason projection of 9 Big12 wins" - love the touch of informal silliness snuck in with all the stats and math

I thought they'd be 11-7, and thought that was optimistic. Just about everything has come together for this team as well as you could hope. Gilbert and Cujo both better than I thought. The bigs got better. Chill much better as a freshman than I'd thought. Lipsey can shoot now.

Let's hope they can sort the offense and make a little run in the tournaments.
