We all put our hearts and souls into every team, every year. We all feel a part of the team. Family memories, hopes and some hidden tears.

Hoiberg, Michalek, Wiiloughby, Fizer, Tinsey, Nurse, Horton...Naz, Monte, Burton, Georges, Thomas... Every year it hurts. This is the end of a era.. a generation, a run that was amazing. We will have more but this is closure on an era of would of, could ofs but didn'ts. Just like everyone before this... Someday, in our lives, please god.... a final 4!

Thanks to the players. Thanks to the legacy you leave behind.

We were by far the better team tonight, they were luckier, and played the best first half of their year. A story to close to Cyclone fans in every sport.

Hold on tight for some rebuilding...hope lives on in a few years.

Yeah, Swanigan absolutely destroyed us. We were TRIPLE teaming him at times. Take him off this Purdue team, and they don't make the NIT. Top to bottom though, ISU was the better team.

Agree. You can say a lot of things about that game, but saying we were the better team rings pretty hollow when you lose. They executed better than we did for greater stretches which is why they won. Swanigan was as advertised and Haas was better tonight than at any other time I've watched him. That's the way it goes.

The second reason we lost was because of Prohm. In a two point game and PurDont at the line shooting 1 and 1 we didnt have Solo in the game to rebound. PurDont misses, gets board and goes to the line for 4 pt game

You really think putting a guy in who hasn't played for 14 minutes is a good idea? It was a long rebound anyway, Matt fought his ass off for it, but he got overpowered.

We played like crap for the majority of the game and we still probably should have won. We win that game like 7 times out of 10.
