Outside in the cold distance, a wildcat did growl
Two riders were approachin
And the wind began to howl

Ripvdub and I were riding up to the game last night.... we heard the best football song. They should play it every week.
Chumbawamba

I Get Knocked Down
We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away
He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times:
\"Oh Danny Boy
Danny Boy
Danny Boy...\"
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
Pissing the night away
Pissing the night away
He drinks a whisky drink
He drinks a vodka drink
He drinks a lager drink
He drinks a cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the good times
He sings the songs that remind him
Of the better times:
\"Don't cry for me
Next door neighbour...\"
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down
We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing

Factoid: Jimi Hendrix had ONE top 20 hit and it was All Along the Watchtower, a cover of a Bob Dylan song.

First time I heard that I was shocked. All those great songs and never a top 20 hit. :nah:

Though his music was associated with an Academy Award. Anyone care to guess what movie, and what OTHER thing was unusual about the Award?

Edited to add: I'm having trouble finding a reference to his posthumous Award.

I'm assuming you are talking about Hendrix not Dylan, since you referred to the award as posthumous, and I would guess the movie is Woodstock.

The rest of your riddle is too vague!

can't say i agree with that, the best version is that of Hendrix, and Bob Dylan admits that

Have you heard Bear McCreary's version (for the season 3 finale of Battlestar Galactica). Awesome, but I do have the emotion of the show influencing that view.

And back on topic. Man, when those light clouds started coming in, and the wind picked up at the end (wind began to howl..)
