Anyone familiar with the professional freelance service, Upwork?

Looking to test the waters using Upwork for a short-term project (For the time being short-term) regarding Digital Marketing Services. A good friend in the PR business has used Upwork a lot and with success for an array of projects, suggested I take a look and I wanted to see what others like/dislike about Upwork. Has anyone used this service or would recommend another platform.

Suggestions or thoughts?

I worked as a freelancer using Upwork for 3 years and had a good experience from that end of things.

You'll get a ton of freelancers applying to any job you post, and there will be a huge range of rates and experience. It'll take time sorting through the applications, interviewing, etc, in order to find someone good. Those with super low rates can be tempting, but you'll generally get what you pay for.

It's way better than fivver, IMO.
