Kansas jumped us, but it was a difference of 4 points so not much. Also Mich St and Maryland essentially tied as well

1 Kentucky - 1619
2 Maryland - 1512
3 Michigan St - 1510
4 Kansas - 1342
5 Iowa St - 1338

AP Poll

Update! There was an error in the original poll that included Wichita State. It has now been fixed.

We moved up a spot to #4 in the coaches poll. Last week we were 4/5, this week 5/4.

Yikes. That is truly baffling. A 23 point loss to Iowa should have been enough to drop them out. Let alone their losses to Alabama and USC on top of that. I don't think there has ever been a team to lose 3 times in a week and not move down.

Wichita state is a fluke. Is there a precedent for having a losing record and being rated top 25.

It only makes sense in the context of giving Wichita the benefit of the doubt that they will be dominant once Van Vleet is back. But if that's the case, shouldn't those same voters be throwing out UNC's loss to Northern Iowa and keeping them at #1 because Paige was out?

I can live with voting logic that I disagree with, it's the inconsistency that drives on bananas.
