Ok, I am far from a volleyball expert, but how the hell is Texas rated that high with a 3-3 record?

Lost twice to Minnesota (#11 at the time), lost once to Florida (#7 at the time), and beat Penn State (#2 at the time).

They lost to some good teams, but the rating still seems high.

And then there's this oddity...

(11 + 11 + 7 + 2) / 4 = 7.75 which is approximately 8 (the current rating). Maybe some of the coaches who vote in the poll like to play with their calculators...

I would think that us beating Florida and being undefeated would bump us past them, but I know that's not how these things usually work.

Penn State also seems ranked too high at 4-3, regardless of what they've accomplished over the last few seasons.

The Nittany Lions only good win was over USC. They have losses to Oregon, Stanford and Texas.

I think it's sad that a program of our stature doesn't even have radio play-by-play, and the huge UNI match tomorrow night isn't on TV, or even available on Clone Zone.
It's pathetic, really.

Really tough week for the ladies...at UNI and at Nebby. If they make it through this week somehow unbeaten they should be inside the top 10 for sure. It would be awesome to go to Nebby and get another W.

I can honestly see us going 2-0 or 0-2 this week. Although I would be happy with 1-1 I wouldnt be shocked if we started conference play undefeated.

UNI and Nebby both have shown they are beatable this year and Christy sure has the talent and depth to not only compete but win both of these matches.

Hold on to your seats for ISU volleyball this week! - Go State!

The match will be shown on the Panther Sports TV Network, including channel 15 on CFU and KWWL 7.3. Eric Braley will provide play-by-play, and Barb Randall will serve as color commentator.

I meant in the central Iowa area, for Cyclone fans to watch it.
And it's ridiculous that the Cyclone radio network doesn't provide radio play-by-play coverage of VB. Lots of schools do, some with VB programs nowhere near the quality or the following of ISU's.
