Texas will be interesting next year. I think they take a big step back. Both Oklahoma schools are losing a lot. UCF losing a lot of what looks like role guys. They have to be the favorite for the cellar at this point right?

Us and west Virginia struck early and often it appears. Is it good or bad that Kansas hasn't pulled in any yet? Is that an indication that bill self health is causing questions for potential commits or are they swinging for the fences?

I'm surprised by how many quality guys have left Baylor last year and this year. I assumed they would do well with the NIL and free transfer portal.

Cryer from Bay to Hou is interesting and Massoud leaving K St is surprising. Doesn’t look like Huggy is slowing down any, still got the fire. I doubt the fans at OU even know about the sinking ship with Spring football in session. Good info, kudos Surly.

Understand Self and Curtis Townsend were before an NCAA committee in Atlanta about the FBI sting. So, that may have slowed some things.

They are hosting Michigan's Hunter Dickenson this week. He's the #1 portal prospect. Ku's M.J. Rice has gone from the portal to NC State.

The Kansas basketball program is officially on the board during the 2023 transfer cycle. On Wednesday, Towson transfer Nick Timberlake announced his commitment to the Jayhawks. The guard previously took an official visit to Kansas and picked The Jayhawks over a slew of other programs, including other finalists North Carolina and UConn. Timberlake will have one season of eligibility remaining, which he will use next year.

The 6-foot-4 guard was the leading scorer on a Towson team that went 21-12 this past season. He averaged 17.7 points per game on 45.5 percent shooting from the floor, 49.5 percent shooting from 2 and 41.6 percent shooting from 3. Souce: Phog

I suppose that was because he's not a traditional portal guy having been dismissed before the season closed. Seems like he's been around a long time in the college game.
ISU always described him as "entering the portal" but yes it is an unusual situation. Was at ISU twice plus UNLV and South Dakota and evidently will play at 5 schools in 5 years, I think. Breece Hall and Caleb knew each other in HS in the Wichita area. Did K State recruit Caleb out of HS?

Dumpster fire. I feel like Porter might be a McDermott at ISU type situation.
Luckily for him, Loyola might be open in a year or so. That's another absolute dumpster fire.

Missouri State has a pretty good shot at being open next year too and that would also be a nice, soft landing spot for him where he would have a chance to win.

His career record without Cam Krutwig is, um, not great. 212-238.

Caleb committed to TJ at SDSU but never played there. Two stints at ISU, a year at UNLV, and wherever he goes next. 3 schools, 3 transfers. Pretty unique situation.

Yes, K-State recruited Caleb. He went to South Dakota State, not USD. He's been close to TJ for a long time. That's why the separation was a bit shocking.

I'm old enough to remember when everyone celebrated OU hiring him and ISU being mocked for hiring TJ. Fit matters.

Damn, Self freed up a lot of cap space. He can go out and get a couple marquee free agents now.

Yesefu out. He should have stayed at Drake.
