I feel like I could put together a competitive B12 team with guys leaving to the portal. Fun exercise anyway. Here's my team:

PG: Cortes, Yesefu, Bonner
SG: Cryer, Mark, King
SF: Tyson, Davenport, Groves
PF: Massoud, Boone
C: Lampkin, Cisse

Probably a little light at PG unless Cryer plays there, but I think that team would be competitive if the right coach could get them all on the same page.

It's way early to be judging winners and losers. Tang has said he needs both a senior point guard and a scoring guard. He has two 4* top 100 freshman guards coming this summer and a 5* commitment for next year.

Everytime I look at Huggy Bear on the sidelines, he looks worn out by life, basketball, etc. He could also stand to mix in a salad.

Oh, **** Kansas.

He'll be like Bill Snyder and hold on to the very end, methinks. The trappings are too much to give up easily even when the needs are obvious.

Unfortunately, Tang appears to be the real deal..

But you can't rely on freshman in this conference, unless they are 100% one and done with concensous lottery expectations. Tang needs multiple, high level guards for them to not take a big step back in 2023/24.. One week ago, I thought you'd land Estrada or Abmas.. Appears that KSU was outbid for both..

Who are the back-up options since 2/3 of the top guys are already committed?

Not the best ranking system. UCF hasn't even landed a transfer yet they're one above Iowa and Iowa's landed one transfer who wasn't on many top 50 lists but is two below ISU who has three transfers who were all on lists.
The ultimate addition by subtraction?

Don't you do a weekly rank the teams poll throughout the season? Why don't you just wait until the season is over.
