Raise your hand if Monty's did your doo. In my town, we had place almost like it right down to the smell. However, my town's barber was in the lobby of a bank! It had to be the only one like it in the world.

I seem to remember Angie Welle being a force through her junior year who was pretty much unmoveable off the block even though she wasn't terribly heavy. Between her junior and senior year she lost a bit of weight probably so she could be more mobile for the WNBA. She was still a great player her senior year but she didn't seem inevitable (to borrow a phrase from Thanos) anymore.I mentioned this multiple times back when she was in high school -- as long as she has the conditioning to stay in games and run the court, her size is an incredible advantage. How many times have we had skinny posts that could get bumped off the block easily or struggled to finish through contact?
You could tell she was trying to be careful. Rebecca Lobo is a great ambassador for the women’s game. Clark could do well emulating her, persona but that won’t happen. She commented on her size regularly during the broadcast, but never in a demeaning manner, IMO.
Cheering for both the Hawks and ISU was more common before Al Gore invented the damn internet!Dang…you’re an old bastard! I’m just a tad ahead of ICCYFAN. I was at ISU when men’s basketball was horrid and we all watched Lute Olson's Iowa teams.
Exactly! I could see a great series of ads using that.I'd play up that it's the same name but different pronunciation.
"It's pronounced 'Ow-dee' "
"No, it's pronounced 'Aw-dee'!"
"Ow-Dee!"
"Nope. Aw-dee!"
