To be fair, they also had 8 seasons of .500 conference records during that time span as well. But the average conference wins from 1945 to 2016 was 2.04. They currently average 5 conference wins from 2017-2023, which includes a 1 conference win season and two games yet to play in 2023. It's a pretty remarkable turnaround

On students, couldn't a good chunk that live within three to five hours (or more?) still go home on Wednesday, have some turkey and do family stuff Thursday and Friday, then either come back Friday night or Saturday, go to the game? Have your cake/turkey and eat it, too.my thinking

You know the game is this Saturday, 5 days before Thanksgiving, right?
Said it in a different thread, I think the student section will be fine. Good weather, big game. Only doubt I have is if the dorms don't let kids stay over the weekend.
