He would add a lot, but at a position we have lots of players currently at. Where's another 20 and 10 post presence this team really needs?

I would take him. Those are epic stats. Too bad he's eligible for next season and not the one after.

Sounds like he's from Maryland and could easily go there.

Sounds like a 3 in Fred's system, that is a spot that we don't have a shooter.

How bout a Monte, Lee, Niang, McKay, Diallo starting lineup :spinny: Naz in there if no Diallo

I would hope not. Niang would get absolutely killed on d by SF.

That's my worry too, but you still have Nader and Burton (mid-December) to defend the 3.

Also, I'm thinking McKay could keep up with most 3's so you can just have Niang guard the 4 or 5 when Niang, Diallo and McKay are all on the floor together.

Does it really matter who guards the 3 if you have McKay and Diallo behind them? Overplay the perimeter and force them to drive. Niang would more than make up for any defensive inefficiency with his offense.

If Niang needing to play SF to allow for Diallo is a problem, then that would be the most fun problem I've ever seen.

Big men constantly helping on 'D' isn't generally a sound strategy. It gets them out of position for rebounds.

If we don't land Diallo, we get this guy.

I've said all season I want someone new to start as the 2 next year.

Most people disagree. However, this guy averages twice as many steals and 2.5 times more boards a game than Long.

It isn't a knock on Naz. This guy is just plain better defensively and offensively, and allows Naz to do what I believe he does best, which is come off the bench, light a spark, and hit some threes. When things AREN'T going great, Naz is the one player I would want in all of the Big 12 to come off the bench due to his leadership and spark he can provide. It's hard to provide that spark when you start and the team goes cold.

Plus, we'd gain his scholarship for the 2016 class we're loading up on.
