Senior night is this Friday, which is interesting with UNI and Mizzou both at home later on.

WVU brings some solid guys into Hilton Friday night.

Top 10 opponents at 141, 149, 165 and a couple more ranked at 184 & 285. Their 197 was an ncaa qualifier last season, and their guy at 133 beat Redding last season (has struggled mightily this year though).

Good bounce back opportunity for Ech, and Casey has a chance to get a higher ranked W. David also gets another top 10 guy that nearly upset KOT this weekend.

Wish this was on Sunday. I can't make it down Friday due to kids' stuff.

Will be interesting to see who will be part of Senior night given Carr & Feldkamp are the only 2 that have no more eligibility.

Didn’t realize this at the time but WVU has a top 20-22 guy at 174 who is 19-3 on the year. He hasn’t wrestled since December, but if he does it is an opportunity for MJ to earned a higher ranked W.

Same recruiting class as Gaitan, too. Hopefully MJ can build off of last weekend and keep it rolling.

Looking ahead I am guessing there is little to no chance of them moving the UNI dual up to noon since it is on Super Bowl Sunday? I believe they have done this in the past.

TBH 11:00 or noon would be great. Hopefully UNI is agreeable. If it's 2:00pm I don't think very many will show up

Yup. You would think if UNI and Utah can suddenly change their match to a different town then a 2-3 hour move (that honestly should have been realized LONG before now) should not be that hard.

I’ll be there regardless but man I would LOVE it if they would change even to noon so I can get back home for sure for kickoff. I would think Schwab wouldn’t have any issue with this? He’ll want a crowd there too.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I don’t think wrestling should move for the Super Bowl. It should be over at least 1.5 hours before kickoff anyway.

Which is great unless you have a drive longer than that.
Then you might need to decide which is more important to you.

If you have that long of a drive and the time moves up to noon, some people would have to miss church to come to the dual. So they’ll have to make the same decision the other way. Not sure I see the huge benefit.

UNI is at Cal Baptist that Friday night. No idea how many starters he's planning on taking but the travel probably makes it tough to move it any earlier.

We don't need a wrestling league that extends from West Virginia to California.

Nah, move it earlier. Clearly there’s momentum to do that and rightly so. I’m guessing they can get something done there and people will be thankful for it.

If Iowa State wanted to move it it would happen. The ball is fully in our court to do it just of a matter if we want to. Saying this because of the solid relationship the staff has between each other (plus it doesn't hurt we let them dual against Utah Valley on our campus)
