I say 3 because I feel like thats really what sets up all modern Fallout. New Vegas\4\76 all have great things about them as well and 4 definitely does some things better with the benefit of coming out later, but I think 3 is probably the best entry point for the world itself.

I haven't played any of the games but want to play one. Which one would you recommend?

Fully agree. 4 was just a little more accessible for me who is not hardcore Oblivion, Skyrim type.

Starfield is the best version of that type of game. They just put the apocalypse setting into space rather than running around a city on earth.

But if you’re set on a fallout game I’d play 4.

That's too bad. I was so looking forward to that game. I'll probably still play it but wait til all the great modders out there "fix" it.

Sorry to hijack the thread.
I don’t know if it’s fixable like Skyrim. Many reviewers have found exactly the same problem I did with this game. It’s not fun to just be in the game world.

I still play Skyrim just to wander and bask in the moons at night, and listen to the soundtrack. I don’t think I’ll ever do that in Starfield.

I can stream both so last night I played 4 a little past the initial quest then the same in 3. Seems like 4 would be more 'involved' than 3, if that makes sense. Probably go on with 3.
Yeah, I think 4 is a bigger world. 3 just has a lot of memorable quests. I haven’t played in years and some of the vaults still stick with me

I'll be damned, that looks pretty good. Makes sense that it's made by the Westworld peeps, that adds up.
That’s actually what turns me off of this. Westword was a ******* mess outside of the first season. I can see them screwing this up as well.
