Favorite was live bands at Mississippi Queen

I still had a couple of glass pitchers from the MQ for many years after I had left Ames. Used to keep my loose change in them. I finally got rid of them when I got married.

I seem to recall going out to the MQ one time to see Loverboy and/or Billy Squire only to find that they had cancelled. Their scheduled stop in Ames coincided with the time that they had become overnight sensations. I think the next year they played Hilton.

I think it was Loverboy anyway, but that was a loong time ago.
