Hey all, liked your site so much I thought I register and post some.

Saw my first Iowa State game as a high schooler in 1978 at Rice Stadium (ISU-23 Owls-19). Have seen the Cyclones play two or three more times at Rice since then and was in Austin in 1998 for the UT-ISU game (big night for Ricky Williams).

Look forward to talking with y'all.

Welcome. So is ISU the team you cheer from the Big 12 North. I know a lot of Cyclone fans think a lot of Texas. For me Texas is the team from the South I like to see do well.

Welcome to CF!

UT is probably one of my favorite non-ISU teams to cheer for, definitely my favorite from the Big 12 South. Enjoyed my time at DKR and Austin back in 2002 even though we came out with a loss.

PS--thanks for giving us Chizik

Thanks for the kind welcome.

I have ALWAYS pulled for ISU over the Hawkeyes. Even though Iowa had Hayden Fry and even though I went to the same high school as Drew Tate (but almost 25 years ahead of him) I still pulled for the Cyclones.

As an old Houston Oiler fan I remember ex-Cyclones like George Amundson and Mike Stensrude.

Rowdy Creek is west of Ingram which is just outside of Kerrville. It's not a town it's the creek that flows through our ranch. There is another Rowdy Creek in northeast Texas.

Been to Longview years ago. It is nice.

Ames is one of three Big 12 towns I haven't been to (Lincoln and Manhattan are the other two). I'll get there one day.
