Hawk fans logic: there's no pictures of bad attendance during football games so I'll post pictures BEFORE the games and pretend it means something.

Also, I'll retract if corrected but didn't we have more or as many sell outs as Iowa did 2 years ago; the year that Iowa went undefeated in the regular season and we won 3 games?

Theres a stretch from a Purdue game in 2012 to Minnesota in 2015, that the only sellout was a loss to Iowa State in 2014.

No, they don't exist. I should know I was there watching Iowa kick their ass.

Great...what about the years where Iowa was simply not good, or even years they were? I seem to recall something out there about Iowa not even selling out during the 12-0 season. That's insane.

Even that pic of JTS in November with a bad record over a holiday weekend shows a better crowd than a lot of schools with at least some success.

And before you go full Hawkdom and hold ISU fans up as pathetic for showing up to see such bad football, remember that Hayden Fry's turning Iowa in a sort of decent program in the 80's was rooted in fan turn out for bad things.

Hawkmush or Fuckbuddy I think used to have the handle on here with 'Section'-some number, which was created from their end zone seats in Kinnik that their grandparents buy for them every season.

An ass whooping in the bowl game (where the vaunted OL was stymied & Betherd threw for 60 total yards) followed by their appearance in the fabulous NIT where TCU walked out of IC with a win without their starting PG has caused these douches some irregularity. Hopefully their new QB struggles this year so they can boo him off the field as Hawk fans are known to do to their own. Thousands were struggling to control wanting to boo their own players their last 2 bowl games. Luckily, opposing team's college bands & Cyclone Fanatic exist for them to piss & moan so they can at least be awake during most days.

After their thrilling NIT loss, it must slow in IC if hok fans are worried about our FB attendance last Thanksgiving.

You realize that just a couple years ago Iowa was told to stop a contest to get butts in seats at Kinnick because what they wanted to do was illegal?

ISU averaged 52,600 last year to Iowa's 69,600. Didnt ISU just expand the capacity of Jack Trice to 62,000?

Good thing we did, too, because I believe capacity before the end zone project was only about 51,000 (factoring in hillside). Not a bad investment seeing that it's being used.

I just looked it up on the Wikipedia page for JTS and it said only around 50,000 + hillside. You should go edit it.

Wiki says 54,800 in '14 but 56,800 in '13. Randy Peterson said it was going from 56,800 to over 61,000 when he reported the expansion.

It's all f***ed up, who knows. This must be why teachers don't let students use Wiki as a paper source.

Yeah. I'd bet that even though they aren't filling those new seats, they are making more revenues. I can't Believe they sell season tickets for $175, but at least that is better than selling them for $99 like they used to.

A scheme that breaks the law a couple years ago for the benefit of attendance has what to do with ISU's attendance last year?

Good thing you had NDSU and ISU on the schedule to bump up that average attendance number!

So a contest to give away 5 free tickets is a "scheme", but selling $99 season tickets Is flooding ISU with cash?

There is a reason Iowa get nearly double the ticket revenue that ISU gets. ISU has to basically give away its tickets to get 52,800 people to show up.

Well, based on Iowa's incredible track record of recent success, they should be making more money and getting more butts in the stands. Chest-thump about things being literally exactly the way they should be...

Also, $99 times 50,000 is still a s***-load of money. You act like that somehow isnt ~$5,000,000.
