I'm new to KC and will be looking for a place to watch the ISU/iowa game next week. I've been to Kelly's many, many times but I also recall there being another bar that is home to the Cyclones. I have some friends that are trying to talk me into going to Des Moines (The Ridgemont, of course!) for the game but if I can avoid hawk fans that week I think my wife will be a little more at ease.

I seemed to remember there being another bar, like an Irish pub in Lenexa. I don't know if that is still a Cyclone bar or not. Anyways, welcome to KC!

If it is that would sure be a cruel and inhumane trick played by aeroclone!

The OP definitely has a lot of Hawkeye things going on there. But they also hold several game watches for UNI and ISU.

But yes, I would say it is mainly a Hawkeye bar. The one on 80th street anyways

I have also heard that the OP is a regular hawk bar, but it has also been listed as an ISU gamewatch location for quite some time. I haven't been to either location, so I can't say for sure, but by the sounds of things it may be something you could consider an all purpose state of Iowa bar.

That said, I may try to avoid it during hawk games just to be safe!
