The irony is, you don't need a license to be an engineer. Only to be a licensed engineer.

If you really get into the regulations/guidelines, engineering grads without PEs shouldn't call themselves engineers in a few states.

I guess he didnt factor in the state's persistance. who knew having a license to practice engineering was so integral to the state. I bet he is prime to cause a fuss. (i could go on all night, sometimes I really love this board)

An engineering degree is just that, a degree. No one w/o a PE should call themselves an engineer. Just like getting a J.D. doesn't make one a lawyer, passing the Bar does that...
