Sure is nice having a shot blocker, isn't it? Now the youngsters will know what it was like to have a Cato presence.

Living up to the "rim-protector" description.

Just heard on the Hoiberg post game interview over on CyclonesTV that McKay is playing hurt. Seems he hurt his back 2 games ago and has been limited in practice. Makes his performance even more impressive.

Fred said his back has been hurting him, nice to see he can tough it out.
Hopefully his back gets healed up.

He took a nasty fall against OSU I think.

there are some definite similarities. Now you have me hoping McKay will draw a charge in the final minutes of the big 12 conference tournament final to put KU away.

He has lived up to my expectations, which were probably a little too high. He's really helping us become a better defensive team, and he's pretty salty offensively just due to his energy and ability to grab boards and run hard.

I'd imagine it happened when he fell hard on it a couple games ago. I remember him going down and then hoppin back up quickly, but it looked like it definitely hurt.

He fell hard in the game against South Carolina and popped right back up. But I'm sure that's when he hurt his back.

What a difference some front court depth makes. No way past Hoiberg teams win this game. Nader and McKay were huge. And we still had edozie to expend some fouls if needed.

I wondered about that, he took a hard fall on his back in the SCAR game.

There were a couple points I was wondering why McKay wasn't in the game, had to be the injury. I'm surprised with all the foul trouble and physical play that Edozie didn't get some court time.
