The Mets are loading up. And they have new ownership/management. Could be a fun team to watch this season.

That said, it's been a very quiet off-season overall. I wonder how much of that is due to Covid and any lingering uncertainty about the 2021 season.

Who are those guys that got sent to Cleveland? Are they all prospects?

You might see more trades like this as teams posture to save money and build. It's looking to be another untypical trading and free agent off-season.

RIP. I had the privilege of meeting him maybe 15 years ago at Dodgers Spring Training. A friend of mine had an in with their AAA club manager, and he got us an inside tour of their Vero Beach facility. Introduced us to Lasorda. Incredibly nice guy. Told really bad jokes. We all laughed anyway. He was a good one.

He had legendary fights with the Philly Phanatic and the Expos mascot Youppi. Even got Youppi ejected from the game once!! Classic. RIP Tommy.
