Econ 101 has changed since we were there. I’m our time it was the general class. Today it’s what 104 was and 105 is now 102. Think when Econ Bob died they did away with 101.

If you are scheduled into a library section that starts mid semester and you also miss the first session because of the odd start, then you drop or get a fail

The guy I had in Econ 101 was Phillipino or something similar. Everytime he said "sheet" it sounded exactly like he was saying "sh*t". So you can imagine how funny it was whenever we took exams and were given directions regarding our sh*ts. "When your finished working your way through your sheets, give your sheets to the person at the end of the row. They know what to do with your sheets".

Loved math & science coming out of high school, near 4.0 and aced thru high school math & science courses at a small school.

Come into ISU, first class Math 165 with a German professor. Failed first quiz on day 3 and completely freaked. Completely changed my ISU path and career goals.

Can't blame anyone for dropping math 150. I took a different approach and failed that **** before barely passing next go round.

I changed major so they put me right into 151 without 150. That was fun.

Engineering Statics was a ***** because the professors all sucked ass. I was a senior and could have had a solid A in Statics with my eyes closed if I took it again only because I learned more about it later with better professors.

Wow, I either took or had credit for 8 of those 10 classes. The worst grade I got in any of them was an A- (brag)

My guess would be that since everyone has to take it, everyone who drops out completely right after starting college counts for that statistic.

I'm not sure I would have passed math 165 if I hadn't already taken calculus in high school. At that time (don't know now), it was often taught by TA's that may know math but they didn't know how to teach. Add in that it was the first semester for most of us and it was the first time that we had to experience someone with English as a second language. Just a combination of things that add up to the class really being harder than the subject matter should have it be
