@JonRothstein: Hearing Iowa State's Naz Long has had a strong summer. Could be Cyclones' backup SG. ISU needs a spark in reserve to replace Tyrus McGee.

Good to hear. Lots of guards who could be getting playing time. If Fred wants to he can go really deep and get more aggressive in terms of playing a fast past game.

Naz isn't on Tyrus' level quite yet. After watching him in the CCL, it's easy to believe he can be an energy guy like McGee, but his foot speed still needs to improve to be a defensive specialist. He's got great size and I believe he will develop into a solid player in the future. I just dont think this is the year he'll shine. I've noticed that he's well liked by his teammates, and he is a real down-to-Earth young man. The kids got a good head on his shoulders and has a great work ethic. I think he'll put in the time and we'll see flashes of McGee and Babb...eventually. (gotta keep in mind he's only a sophomore)

Tyrus was an outstanding player, so that's good to hear. Wish we could have had him and Scott both for 4 years.
