I do not know the official date, but they released the first single...so it's just a matter of time. I'd guess spring.

new single-

Yeah, I had heard the single but didn't know it was confirmed to be part of an album. Thats exciting, Gorillaz are a band that you know what you are going to get and have a very unique/cool sound, so I'm happy they have an album coming out soon.

I know this is not 2017 new, but the physical copy wasn't released until a couple weeks ago so I am going to allow it. I just bought the Run The Jewels 3 double-gold Vinyl, yesterday, and that album on a solid gold vinyl is about as RTJ as it gets. paid 28 bucks for it, but totally worth it.

Listening to The Menzingers new LP After the Party, kind of a great album so far. They are theme based band, this LP is conceptually based on moving from your 20's to your 30's, it has been a while since I have hit that barrier, but it is a bit of a milestone of shock and this album covers it well. Would recommend the listen.

I can relate to this plenty. Spinning it right now.

Sampha's "The Process" dropped at midnight this morning. Halfway through it, and it's as good as usual.

Doesn't seem like Sampha is followed very much on here, he does have a unique style and some interesting beats to boot, but his voice is one of the most coveted in R&B for a long time. If you are in the mood to listen to some good, unique music, I'd recommend it. His voice grew on me to where he is one of my favorite artist, especially when he is a chorus feature on a hip-hop song. (No One Knows Me) Like The Piano is one of the more beautiful songs of the last year to 6 months, in my mind. But that is just his most popular single from the album.

Lots to look forward to - agreed on War on Drugs, New Pornographers, Ryan Adams, Spoon, Arcade Fire.

The one I'm looking forward to the most is BECK. Dropped two great singles without an album, and it's time.

Queens of the Stone Age confirmed? Hell to the yes.

Off that list I'm also looking forward to Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires, Old 97s, Pearl Jam, Japandroids, Shinyribs, Dead Man Winter (really stoked for this), Chuck Prophet, Craig Finn, and The National.

One of the most fun shows I've been to was at The Music Fest at Steamboat, when my buddy's wife and I incited a dance party at a Shinyribs show at the Slopeside Grill. We were kicking people who were still eating out of their seats and stacking up tables to make more room.

I agree with all of this, especially Ryan Adams, Spoon, and Beck.
