Can anyone help me identify colors of helmets for sure here. I know the helmet wall has a few versions of these older helmets.

what I either believe or know:
62-66, I think is metallic gold
61, metallic gold
57-60, either its metallic gold or sunflower not sure which
54-56, possibly sunflower
52-53, not sure, believe it white with cardinal stripe.
47-51, i believe metallic gold with cardinal stripe
39-46, i believe sunflower
37-38 possible metallic gold
36, black or cardinal possible
35, winged but dont know colors,
33-34, winged or striped but dont know colors
30-32, black or cardinal possible

anything prior to 1930, no idea, may have all been plain brown leather.

any help is appreciated.

edit:
info I am finding so far says below, just dont know for sure how accurate on a few.

62-66, metallic gold
61, metallic gold
57-60, metallic gold
54-56, sunflower
52-53, white with cardinal stripe.
47-51, metallic gold with cardinal stripe
39-46, sunflower
37-38 metallic gold
36, cardinal
35, winged sunflower with black wings/stripes(the more I look at the pic, this is wrong, I have seen a red helmet with yellow wings also one with natural tan wings, I believe this one is similar to those)
33-34, winged or striped sunflower with black wings/stripes
30-32, cardinal

It appears we wore Michigan colors in the early 30s, so it is possible the winged helmets were exact copies of Michigans. although the 2 versions in the images above look different.

1931
Iowa State announces on Feb. 25 the hiring of Michigan assistant George Veenker as the Cyclone head football coach.

1931
Dressed out in the Maize and Blue of Michigan rather than Cardinal and Gold, Iowa State's football team wins five of its first six games and the Cyclones are the talk of the Midwest. Iowa State finishes second in the Missouri Valley Conference in one of the great reversal of fortunes in Cyclone history. B Roger Bowen and B **** Grefe earn All-Big Six honors.

It appears Michigan did not wear the winged helmet until 1938, which would be after we did. Does not tell us what color ours was, but it does say it would not be a copy of theirs, more like they copied ours. LOL. But really it was a common style then.

This website gives you all the helmets and uniforms since 1947. Doesn't go further back though. https://cycloneuniforms.weebly.com/football-uniforms.html
