So are we done in the transfer portal given the announcement by ISU athletics? Just wondering. Seems like we took care of what we needed to either way

I think in previous years they also did not announce the transfer signings all at once. The program announced a couple at a time based on when they committed/signed.

It's worthwhile to remember that the portal timeline just feels a bit weird to us because Otz and staff work so quickly. They zero in on several guys that they know they can get before anyone else gets involved, and then they round out the class. Based on 247's transfer rankings (not that they're accurate, just using them since they're accessible and give a baseline), only 17 of the top 50 transfers have committed. There are still a lot of guys out there, and there will probably also be some late entries that are available if Kyle or Jefferson don't happen (Osun, for instance, entered the portal on 4/28 and committed on 5/16).

I agree that's generally how it has been done. Sometimes there's a summary report after all slots are filled.

I compiled a roundup of approximate dates of commitment/announcement for Ota-era transfers. In some cases, it’s when news sources published, based on my basic search.

(Includes previous schools … I may have missed some of double-transfer details) ... If anyone spots errors, notify me.

The committed transfers do provide replacements for graduated bugs, but I think Otz wants to improve over last year and go all in for next season, hopefully Final Four. Heise will provide increased scoring and experience. Landing Jefferson will improve the team even more.

That is a crazy hit mark on transfers, I think the only one that could be debated as a miss is Jackson P, and I actually like him as a player, its just a level to high for him to be truly competitive, he'll be amazing in a conference like MVC.

22-23 add in oshun and jared holmes. I would consider both successful transfers
