Five most compelling players and their storylines headed into the Nike Hoop Summit

Lindell Wigginton, Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), SF

College: Iowa State

Why he’s compelling: Wigginton and the Warriors were the defending ****’s Nationals champs, but got bounced by Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) in the first round this year. Now, Wigginton, a four-star Canadian who is ranked No. 42 in the ESPN 100, will be suiting up with the World Select Team with a point to prove against a USA team full of five-star players he feels he’s just as good as.

Changing course here a little, but I thought we might look into Thomas Allen the big time shooter who decomitted from NCState and now has a KU offer. But maybe they like experience of Edwards better or didn't want another true freshmen on the roster for class balance. I apologize for my KU envy.

Seems like KU might also gauge his teammates interest as well. It is a top 50 PG can't recall his name right now but he is a UCONN decommit.

Free article about Edwards from him JuCo coach from Halsted. Sounds like he has developed his game quite a bit from his frosh to sophomore years. He still needs to work on conditioning (I noticed that during his game against Hutchinson) but is a hard worker. The staff seems to be selling them on their program helping him in that area. He is also hearing from some good programs, Utah, Illinois, Mizzou, ETSU, and Colorado.
