This is a game we really need to steal on the road. As BF mentioned on his Monday news conference the Red Raiders have a good inside dual of Mallard and Nobles both are 6'3" and like all South teams very physical. He said Smalls is one of the underrated point guards in the conference. They stomped Colorado in their last game and should be a tough match up for us at their home. We are going to live and die by Bolte's scoring. We need the rest of the team to step up and knock down shots. Our defense and rebounding will carry us only part of the way then Pop, Chas, and Loz have to step up and make two or three more baskets a game. I am still waiting for Pop to hit a ten foot jump shot. This is too close to call and could go south in a hurry if we aren't ready to play. Four games in 8 days... March is just around the corner. Here are the names and numbers. Go Clones...

I think the day we win a game like this is the day Jess learns to drive and hit someone ELSE for a layup. When she penetrates, she only has eyes for the rim, and can rarely get there in the Big 12. Chas needs to shoot the 3 like she can in practice, and Anna needs to be strong with the ball. We are just a few small things from being a dangerous team. Lauren is smart enough that she will continue to learn how to get higher percentage shots and be more efficient. I believe in these players, they will do great things yet this season.

Need to steal one of these badly so we can finish above .500 in conf. Afraid we are headed towards a 3-3 finish though.

It's pathetic that this big, big, game between two teams with large fan bases, is not on TV.
I can't believe that there can't be a conference women's bb network set up for games like this one.

on that note TMan, we talk about how loyal our fan base is, but TTech has had several bad years and still draws big crowds. Though I am sure its dwindling some, but Sharp really built that program up. I had a lot of respect for Curry, but she wouldn't be the first really good coach to come to the Big 12 and struggle....

Bonnie, Gail, and Kristi. You'd think these programs and coaches would have been slam dunk combos. Honestly, in a WBB powerhouse state like TX, there should be no excuses. Though I will have to give Gail some leeway with Reed out for the season; I did enjoy an interview I watched with her where she admitted that she had the wrong recruiting plan in place when she came, not understanding that its harder to recruit to a non-name school. Though, the person she "had" in charge of recruiting is one of the best in the business, and has already landed TN some amazing talent upon her return. Don't know what Curry's issue is. Seems she has struggled with getting "star" level talent.

I'm not completely sure why, but, I feel good about this game. I haven't seen them play, but, looking at the stats - there's nothing that stands out. They do play a lot of people - 8 players average dbl digit minutes so we might expect them to be fresher at the end of a tight game. But of the four "posts" Mallard and Wicket are most likely to score. Barncastle and Nobles less so. None of them is a threat like KU's Davis. Early fouls on post players could be a factor. Their season defense allows 55.6 ppg but 63 ppg in conference.

TTU has good crowds - remnants from Sharp days. In fairness to Curry, and not to be unkind to Sharp, (from memory) I think the record started to slide before Curry got there.

Wow. wiped out in a swipe of one's wooden driver... Oh well, I am going 50/50 for a win tonight. Hallie has to step up and have another big game and Pop has to rebound like a mad woman. Loz has to control Small and then score over her. I think the defense will keep this close but all nine players have to show up. Go Clones...

This would be a great win, and pretty much all of them are big the rest of the year. Go Cyclones!

80 in Lubbock... wow, today was nice but 80 would be perfect. Speaking of Hallie... E-EK won last night another step towards the state tournament.
