1987 was the last time Kevin Jackson led this team (back then as captain, of course). Iowa was coming off a national title streak.

The only thing we are missing is Bill Kelly's "spradle!"

I guess what I'm trying to say in a roundabout way is the obvious: that the Cyclones could do this, and wouldn't it be fun if they did?

Mostly, though, I just want each wrestler to be at his peak. In a big tournament like this, you don't often get the chance to knock back the other contender or control how they position themselves for the later brackets. You can only control your own positioning. Here's hoping we start off on a tear!

The Live Blog will probably provide the best information.

ISU has some tough matchups the 1st round. I expect Iowa to have a 6 point lead over us after Session #1, any more than that is bad. Don't worry, ISU can make that back up in Rounds 2 and Round 3.

NWCA's scoring setup is much better than last year's. All matches show up on a table and if you click one it displays that match's details but keeps updating the table below it. Possible to follow mutliple matches at once in one window.
