I did not mean to derail the thread. Unless anyone has specific information about David’s injury, it is irrational to think that the quality of competition isn’t a factor in the decision. Has nothing to do with being scared, or a wuss, just solid decision making.

I mean I guess you could say if he was going against 6 year olds with the chance to go to the olympics and had this injury, he would give it a go. So technically, yeah, competition level would factor into the decision in the slightest at least. I see where you're coming from. Let's just hope DC gets back to healthy and do some damage next time around
