Might as well give it a shot. Just highlight the Charlie Jones productivity jump after going from Iowa to Purdue, close your eyes, and hope for a few $100k of NIL.

Had a year to learn under offensive geniuses Brian and Kirk. Now gets to take that wealth of knowledge to another program. Any team that gets him is lucky.

Well, with Deacon Hill's stock rising and McNamara announcing he's coming back it makes sense for Ole Spencer to get out of Iowa City. He is well aware that it is next to impossible to unseat an incumbent QB under Ferentz. Now he has 2 ahead of him on the depth chart.

He has to announce he is transferring. The NCAA doesnt allow player coaches. Therefore, he transfers, then decides to "quit football"

Ladies and gentlemen, your new Iowa offensive coordinator.

In all seriousness, im joking but the more you think about it the more it makes sense

A few years ago and obviously the pre-NIL era, but Jake Rudock was a TON better at Michigan than he was at Iowa. Iowa's ability to squander offensive talent is rather impressive at this point.

I really hate losing to these jokers.

Guessing Petras wanted to stick around and graduate before moving on?

Could see Kirk helping him find a GA job somewhere.

He's about a year late.
I disagree. Sitting this year out increases his opportunities. He can now legitimately say that he was not the problem. They went from terrible with him to historically terrible without him.

In defense of this year's historically terrible offense they were just as historically terrible last year

I imagine he ends up in FCS

He seems like the kind of "large but limited" QB you see in the MAC. Although being from Cali, maybe he will head to the Mountain West.

At this point, he is probably looking for a school that is good at his major of interest, and use that scholarship to pay for some education.
