Iowa State was in the NCAA tourney once again, Iowa is in the NIT once again
Iowa State finished the season ranked in the top 25, Iowa was not even be close
Iowa State is actually relevant nationally, Iowa isn't

In the past 2 weeks ISU destroyed TCU on a neutral court. Iowa lost to them at home. Sure Iowa got the upperhand in December but people only care about March.
