They kept 4 TE's on the 53 man roster? Ok, well that explains not needing another.

Do any of you know how contracts work when a practice squad player is promoted to the 53 player roster? Does their original practice squad contract stipulate what they get paid if they get promoted? Or do they work on a brand new contract as soon as they get promoted?

I’m guessing he gets a league minimum. I believe NFL salaries are doled out equally for every week that you are signed (besides signing bonuses). I think Allen would be at $495k or $29,000 a week.
