Two ISU recruits are honored, Brooke Andersen and Eleanor Holthaus. Two IA players are honored, the Peterson twins from Dike. Did not know that one of them will be playing for Texas.

Phew. They had us waiting for Holthaus.

Interesting to see her projected as a RS. It makes sense with what we have on the roster and what we’re losing. She sounds very versatile which is awesome.

We need Anderson bad at the OH spot. Usually there is a log jam at that position but we are thin.

Really excited about this class!

No surprises- I thought there might be an under the radar one. I look forward to the comments of CJL when she sits down with John. We have Mantz and Centeno off the top of my head coming in 2019 already so..... Looking forward to watching Mantz this year to see how much better an already very good player can get.

Centeno is pretty highly regarded...we also have OH Hatch for 2019.

Saw the Star Tribune all metro team here in the paper the other day. Checked to see where they were going. The setter has committed to Nebraska and is considered #1 nationally. Then noticed that is Class of 2021 and she is only a freshman.

Can we get a #10 or better in volleyball? Don't know if we have had a recent high pick (10 or lower).

These early commits are tricky. You get all the attention when you announce but then when the initial fanfare dies down it can be a difficult wait for some. I wonder if Cook is still going to be there when she comes:) Lots can change in 4 years- There is an amazing setter who has impressed me for years in the class of 2021 and she quit volleyball altogether. I hope she comes back even though that means opposing teams losing a lot of games us included.

Her numbers are impressive 678 kills 245 digs hitting .557 works for me
She ball-faced a player at the end of the Hudl video in the link - ouch. In the article link Iowa State really impressed her teammates: "My club teammates have said, 'I hope I can find a school that's like what Iowa State is to Brooke.' "

I could use a girl like her on my volleyball team. Of course, I'm coaching 14 year olds so I don't think it would be allowed.

There was a coach at the Rochester M1 scrimmage this past weekend with a 6' 7" 14 year old. Last year up there we played a 14's team that was 6' 8" 6' 7" 6' 4" across the front. None of them giraffes on ice skates. Probably offspring of the Vikings Twins Timberwolves or Wild players I would guess?
