What are the national outlets projecting expecting out of Iowa State next season?

Six of them have the Cyclones in the top 5 of their Way Too Early Top 25's.

I said preseason last year and as it currently looks right now Kansas's roster has huge holes and are way overrated in the preseason polls. Going into last season they really had no proven scorers until Hunter Dickinson transferred late. Dajuan Harris is strictly a defensive player. McCullar being the B12 leading scorer came out of nowhere, that kept them relevant til he got hurt. Jonny Furphy was a nice surprise. KJ Adams doesn't have much of an offensive game, but will get 12 ppg just by being more athletic than his defender.

With McCullar and Furphy likely gone, maybe even Dickinson, and no big time additions I see KU's roster as a fringe top 25 team as it currently stands.

If you look at both and combine the Men's and the Women's way too early rankings it doesn't take much to notice that Iowa State men's and women's combined average ranking is second in the nation only to Uconn's two teams. Even a math graduate from the school out east could figure it out. The ISU women's team is ranked 10th in a couple and the men's are top 5 in several.

Meanwhile, Lunardi doing Lunardi things: View attachment 127623

EDIT: This may or may not be a real Lunardi bracket.
Assuming this came from the reddit post I think it did, the seeds are Lunardi's but the actual picks are just from a model that will spit out a new, semi-random bracket based on probabilities every time it's run (e.g. if the poster ran the model 100 times, Iowa State would probably beat Quinnipiac 90+ of them, it just so happened that this was one of the 10).

Where Iowa at? Oh that's right... they are a women's basketball school now. Oh wait... they're gonna suck again too now. At least Iowa fans have the Indiana Fever they can root for!
