if i walk up to kinnick empty handed and look to buy from a scalper? i have been out of state since 2004 and am thinking about making it back for that game. what would be an expected low to high price for a single ticket?

would it be tough to get one if i am wearing my cyclone gear? or do those people simple look to make a buck?

You will probably pay more wearing ISU stuff. If both teams win their first game I would say probably $60-80 starting. I have scalped tickets with a friend in which we sold them for $40 a piece against Northwestern.

Others probably have more experience and can give you a better idea but I guess I would be shocked to see them go for less than that.

Save your money and come to the WVU game in Ames or any game in Ames. Kinnick and Iowa City is a desolate hell hole filled with dbags.

I think that's too low.
You'd probably pay nothing less than $100/ticket, especially since Kinnick doesn't have a "cheap" option like ISU does with hillsides.

Yeah, me too. Was switching back and forth between that and the Amateur Championship. That was a good finish.

And THAT, was a good out at 3rd.

EDIT: And at 2nd.

I scalped a student ticket for $50 from a guy in an ISU shirt in 09. If you have friends that go to Iowa maybe they could grab you an ID as you need one to get in, that's what I did.

Don't even bother looking at stubhub. Cheapest ticket is $895 per ticket? WTF?

here's what i don't get. scalping tickets on site on game day is illegal. but essentially scalping them on the inter webs seems to be perfectly acceptable. what gives? there is not a single ticket in any college venue that has a face value of $895
