Checked out Wing Nutt in Altoona yesterday for the first time. Also made it to 515 and Reclaimed Rails. This is the 2nd time I've been to Reclaimed Rails and I love their tap room but none of the beer has done it for me. Wing Nutt doesn't have as nice of a facility but the beer was pretty decent for just getting started. My favorite was probably the Thin Mint Stout. Great to see so many new breweries in the area.

Confluence and 515 are neck and neck IMO for the best breweries in the metro area.

The Wing Nutt founders are ISU grads that I knew from my undergrad days. Next time I'm back I will make it a point to stop by.
I hadn't been to Raccoon River in the past 5 years, but I liked the beers better than I remember liking Raccoon's.
Been waiting for this place to open. Next time I'm in town I'll have to make it a point to swing by
